Win Your World Book Day Costume From Beano!

World Book Day is looming fast – are you ready?
Don’t fret – we’ve nabbed our mates at Beano, and we’re here to help!

World Book Day is a totally brilliantly excellent day. It’s on the 7th March this year, and who doesn’t love a day that is simply celebrating stories, and loving to read?
We love.

BUT.

If you have a child in Primary school, that love comes with a bit of a caveat, doesn’t it? because of course, it’s also fancy dress day. Oh the pressure. I feel you.

Beano have a World Book Day page, which includes plenty of costume inspiration.

I’ve written about it before – the year that I forgot – and eldest turned up at school in a shop-bought Harry Potter costume (not even a good one, it was a rubbish Gryffindor Quidditch outfit with no broom). And the year that we made three bloody amazing costumes from scratch. And Boy won ‘best costume’ prize for going as a Pelican Crossing. Oh yes we did.
Totally parents of the month – but we swore never again!

I give you the Minotaur from Lion, Witch & Wardrobe, a penguin from Creatures of the Sea, and the Pelican Crossing from Hodgeheg. Genius, I tell you.

But this year, we’re here to help take the pressure off – because we’ve got FIVE World Book Day costumes to be won, thanks to be Beano! And yes, we’re closing the comp early to make absolutely sure they can be with you in time – so what do you fancy being his year?

Maybe Minnie the Minx is a perfect outfit for your girl – I think there’s a bit of Minnie in all of us. Complete with her classic stripes, bows and pom-pom hat, this is the perfect costume for the young Beano fan!

Or how about a grown up Bananaman? Oh come ooon! Comes with Trousers, Cape, Belt, Gloves & Boot Covers – we ALL wanted to be Bananaman!

Or keep it classic with a Dennis the Menace day. This one comes with the iconic red and black striped jersey complete with Dennis badge and stink bomb patch, plus Dennis’ cool black shorts with Dennis & Gnasher badge. There’s even a face mask; picture perfect Dennis!

To be in with a chance to win, just answer the first three questions in the widget box below. There are more chances to win by completing the other entry options if you so wish – they’re entirely up to you! The closing date for this competition is 28th February 2019 and only entries received on or before that date can be included. The winners will be the first five randomly chosen entries. Good luck!

Win 1 of 5 World Book Day costumes!

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
