Some of my children get sufficient sleep whereas others seem to be light sleepers – I have eight children in total ranging from 12 years old to 9 months – including two sets of twins! My five year old would happily go to sleep at midnight and he’d jump out of bed totally refreshed at 6am if we let him!

She has refused to nap since the summer holidays (just 2 months old at the start) but used to sleep through from 8-9pm until 7-8am, but ever since she had croupe in November she fights sleep :-(

23 February 2014
My two year old has gone through about a month now of waking up all throughout the night so we are lucky if he got 7 hours sleep – getting even up to 4 times or more- it would explain why he has been bad tempered. It’s been very hard as it’s made me and my husband very tired too and as he shares a room with his 5 year old sister- this has affected her sleep and her school day. Reading this has been very helpful so will put those into practice and try and get more sleep for my toddler and for all of us. The bed would be brilliant to have as they really need a new bed – especially one like this that would give them more room. Liked, shared and retweeted.

23 February 2014
If my 4yr old sleeps in his own bed he will only have about 7 hours sleep possibly less as he is restless and is constantly up and down; however when I relent and let him sleep in with me or his brother he will have nearer 10 hours sleep. I think beds have a great deal to do with this problem, winning these bunk beds means I will be able to go to work after having a full nights sleep. My partner will also be able to actually sleep in his own bed too instead of the couch

Our 2 year old sleeps very well at the moment (about 14 hours but without a daytime nap!)- but is still in a cot (she’d love a ‘big girl bed’) and with a baby due in 2 months, a bunk bed would be a super solution to what will be a bit of a space challenge! :)
