Win A £70 Collins Complete School Kit In Day 3 of #BackToSchoolBooks

If you’ve not made friends with it yet, then you need to go and introduce yourself to the Collins4Parents website. It’s not only jam-packed with excellent books for every stage of your child’s learning, but they also offer a boat load of useful resources and practical guides to help both you and your resident student.

Right now there’s also an online 30% discount for parents on all Back to School books, so now’s a good time to stock up. Just use the code BTS2016!

It’s Day THREE of #BackToSchoolBooks fortnight – and today we’re all about the school stuff. This is a brilliantly useful set for all school-aged children, whatever their current year.
Because who doesn’t need a decent dictionary on their shelf? And this one’s such a classic – I had a Collins school dictionary to hand when I started high school *cough* years ago! It’s perfect for all students over the age of 11 – and this edition been developed with teachers to be the perfect school dictionary for in class and for homework.

The clear layout makes finding entries exceptionally easy, and full definitions are given in simple language, often in complete sentences. With over 20,000 entries, many new or updated, it includes the school national curriculum vocabulary up to Key Stage 3 and GCSE as well as general vocabulary for students aged 11.

There’s also a special section on spelling, which outlines key spelling rules, and lists words that are commonly confused or misspelled. Handy, right?

Paired with a Thesaurus (which is an odd old book, isn’t it? One of those things that you don’t know you need until you need it – and then you wonder why you never used it before) you’ve got your English needs pretty much covered. But Collins have gone for the whole schoolbag reboot this week – so there’s also a brilliantly useful School Atlas, a set of fineline pens (I know! There’s stationery!), a scientific calculator… AND a £15 WHSmiths voucher.

Oh, those were the days – there was actually nothing better then mooching through WHSmiths on a Saturday, coveting the notebooks and new lever arch file designs and choosing between the 6,572 pens.

So how to win this brilliant Total schoolbag set, that’s the question. Tis simples! Just use the box below to enter – closing date is the 14th of September, and first name of of the cyber hat wins. And once you’ve entered, make sure you go back and enter Days 1 & 2 if you missed them – stick around, we’re here all week ;)

Good Luck!

Collins Back To School 3

Author: Laura

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
