Win 3 x Code Kingdoms Membership & a BBC micro:bit! | #LittleStuff24

Advent Calendar Door Fifteen

“Ding dong merrily on hiiiiigh…”

Behind the door number fifteen of the 2016 #LittleStuff24 are THREE brilliant prizes for any Minecraft fans – a year’s subscription to CodeKingdoms, teaching you how to code your own mods and providing you with your own server to play on!

Code Kingdoms is a totally brilliant way to sneakily teach your child about coding – all while they’re creating their very own mods for Minecraft.
And if you have a child over 8 in the house, I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with Minecraft!

We actually reviewed Code Kingdom back in the Spring – and we still love it 9mths later. Minecraft is just such a great game to teach coding with. The youngest users get comfortable with simply playing the game, and then as they grow the game ‘grows’ too – older users can build ‘mods’ (short for modifications) that change the way the game behaves and responds. The more code you learn, the more creative freedom you have to build what you want inside the game.

And we totally believe that Code Kingdom’s code editor is the best there is for kids. It is used by BBC Learning, Code Club & Teach First to teach millions of kids programming, and the tutorial videos sit perfectly in the modern method of YouTube searching to find out how to do something.

And we have THREE 12mths memberships to give away – and each comes with a BBC micro:bit too! And never mind the coding fun;  just tell your child they can their own Minecraft server for a year and they’ll be jumping up and down begging you to enter this!
To enter just answer the first three questions in the widget box below. There are more chances to win by completing the other entry options if you so wish – they’re entirely up to you!  The closing date for this competition is 20th January 2017 and only entries received on or before that date can be included. The winner will be the first randomly chosen entry. Good luck!

LS24/15 – Code Kingdoms

(and don’t forget once you’re done here, there’s still all the other competitions running, with prizes worth over £3,000 in the rest of #LittleStuff24 – go enter them all!)

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
