Uber Kids’ was a new store to me when I started working with them in december (remember their advent calendar prize? a super-cool Recaro kids car seat!) – probably because I’m at the wrong end of the country to know the store in North Wales, and their online store happened once my children were too old for me to to be scouring the nursery store sites.
But it’s been such a pleasure to discover Uber Kids – a genuinely independent nursery store who are really big on service.
We love.
The thing is they’re not some teeny tiny little boutique where you necessarily have to see the tininess of the business reflected in the rather-bigger-than-you-wanted price tag; no, they’re big enough to compete favourably with the larger chains on price and stock range, but still small enough to offer you outstanding customer service.
And if you don’t happen to be in or visiting North Wales to go see them in person, it matters not. Because their online store has a dedicated Uber Kids team (all of whom are parents themselves, and therefore understand what you’re looking for and why). The online store has been designed to offer clear images, and descriptions are written so that all the information they know you need to make a decision is displayed simply. But the team are also on hand by telephone to offer help if you do need anything else.
If you are close enough to visit the store in Wrexham there’s obviously lots of products out on display for you to have a test drive of. But if the one you want isn’t out, then they’ll happily get it out, and give you a demonstration. They’ll even let you book a time to do so to make sure what you want is conveniently ready.
And we’re so pleased that the whole just-doing-what-we-do-really-well ethos is properly working out for Uber Kids; 2016 is going to be an exciting year with lots things coming up – early in the Spring they will be opening a much bigger showroom space, and a new website is coming, making the online buying even easier and more fun.
