My five year old son always has some kind of vessel with his essential drawing and colouring stuff to hand, in fact, come to think of it, he has several, dotted all around the house – coloured pencils, felt tips, blobs of sticky tack and lots of little note pads and wads of Important Papers. Whether it’s an old shoebox or a canvas shopping tote or the cute little gift box he swiped from under my nose on my birthday.
