Spotted! Just the most amazing little Kokeshi thing…

That, ladies and gentlemen, is a Kokeshi Doll.

Considered in their native Japan to be gifts of love and affection. First made about 150 years ago as a toy for children of farmers, Kokeshi are made by skilled craftsmen, and each is named.

This little one’s name?

Oh, did I not say?

She’s called “Happiness”.
