Roast Lifting Forks – Pre-Christmas Shopping!

forks to lift heavy jointsEvery year it’s a problem.

We have a HUGE turkey – a 20lb-er – and turning it mid-morning is a serious operation, with myself, my husband and my Mother-In-Law all helping. And an oven really isn’t big enough for three sets of hands.
We’ll not talk about the year it got dropped.
(or the fact that my oven gloves are always RUINED with hot soggy oily turkey juices once it’s accomplished)

But not this year.

Oh no.

Because I have THESE amazing babies from Lakeland.

Roast lifting forks.

Go me!

Turning the turnkey wil be a breeze – and lifting it from the pan will no longer mean dipping the same sad oven gloves back in hot turkey juices again.

Brilliant.

They’re a really strong and sturdy stainless steel, so aren’t going to faint at the job if lifting my turkey – and if they can manage that, I’m pretty darned sure they can handle whatever else I ask of them.

Foundover at Lakeland, the Roast lifting Forks are a gravy drop under £15 – and now an essential part of my pre-Christmasn kitchen kit list, I’d say.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
