Puppies and Soldiers in the garden…

… and an attractive Death Stalker (apparently) too.

The puppy, of course

The Soldier – hat and jacket models own. Sigh.

The Death Stalker. Lovely.

We’ve been sent a pack of face paints by the fab people at Snazaroo, so with a holiday afternoon meandering past and no one having any better suggestions I offered to paint a face. Or three.

Well – my dodgy artistic efforts aside (GCSE art wasn’t much help) it was a HUGE success! The two boys took a long time to choose their’face’ (actually, that’s a lie – Jolly didn’t even glance at the book before insisting “soldier”), and they sat very still – seemed in fact to find it quite calming – and even Pink tried to sit still.

Though the iffy whiskers are testament to the fact that still isn’t something she’s very good at.

And she apparently has a very ticklish chin. Who knew?

Most surprising of all was how interested they were in watching each other be painted, all crowding in and commenting as we went.

Anyhoo, it was a great activity for all of us, and led to a Very Grand Game in which the soldier hunted the puppy, and the Death Stalker stalked the soldier. And the puppy rushed about shrieking “yip-yip-yip”.

As puppies do.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
