Okay – I just checked upcoming film releases. And squeaked.

I was just meandering through the Cineworld site, like I’m inclined to do when I am in serious need of a night off (even though my brain knows I’ve been working so hard because I’m just three sleeps away from an almost-4wk-holiday, my body is sobbing to itself that it needs to not be sitting in the office chair one. more. minute. Oh how it yearns to step outside, to go do something FUN for a change!). And the Future Releases page caught my eye – I thought I’d have a squizz and find out when the new Hunger Games is released.
But Holy Moly I got excited! Have you SEEN the new films coming up at the end of the year?
Look, let me show you.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1

The Hunger Games – Mockingjay part 1

Have you seen the first ones? Read the books? I admit, I LOVED the books, and though i enjoyed the films for themselves, I did feel that they lost some of the cleverness that made the books so compelling. Even so, I can’t wait to see the last two films! Mockingjay Part 1 is released on 20th November.

but the goodness doesn’t stop there.
Oh no. For look:

The Penguins get their own movie! Hurrah!

On the 5th December the Penguins are out on their own! With Benedict Cumberbatch and John Malkovitch voicing, it should be a great film – they were always the best part of the Madagascar series! This one will be a must-see with the children on a rainy afternoon.

And then, on the 12th December, comes The Hobbit. I have yet to see a Hobbit film at the cinema – the husband always takes the boys while I stay at home with the too-young-for-it girl. But I’m determined to finally see this one on the big screen – even if I go alone, or the husband has to see it twice!

Finally, there’s the latest Night At The Museum film. I know they’re not for everyone, but I genuinely love them (I’ve never quite grown out of thinking that soft toys come alive at night when we’re not looking, so the museum exhibits wandering around makes total sense to me), and can’t wait to see this one. Still with all our favourite cast – including the wonderful Robin Williams – I have a feeling this is going to be a special one.

I LOVE going to the cinema – seeing a film is our biggest indulgence. And I have a feeling that December is going to see a regular movie trip as we take in all the ones we want to see.

I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
