Mothers Day Idea #5 – A Rather Grand Hat For The Garden.

I have to thank Lou from the Archers at the Larches for pointing me in the direction of Garden Girl. And these hats. I don’t know about you, but I always feel very grown up when I’m gardening. It’s like putting the washing on the line – I’m not faking it I really AM grown up enough for this house/wife/mother/home malarky.

But gardening  in a pretty hat? Now you’re talking. Graceful, elegant and horticulturally wise, serenely floating around the lawns (this is MY fantasy, okay? Of course there’d be ‘lawns’ and not a rough grassy area that’s been kicked up and slid across by small footballers and burned by a wee-ing dog), quietly deadheading roses, maintaining absolute and effortless wisteria control, kneeling elegantly to tug up the odd weed, hair carelessly tucked behind one ear in an oh-so-flattering casual manner… *cough*

Well. Anyway.

Back n the real world I love this hat. So there.

The Pretty Hat For Gardening Elegantly In  is £21.95 over on GardenGirl right now. Careful – if you’ve aspirations to be a gardener, once you’re in there you may be sometime.

Author: Laura

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
