A wonderful way for little ones to countdown to Christmas, this advent calendar consists of 24 little houses, and string – so they can be threaded together to make a garland to hang on the tree. The houses resemble gingerbread houses, and have flags and stickers to decorate them. The set also includes jokes and facts that you can put into each house, alongside a treat.

These are so cute! I also love the idea of making your own from old jars and bits lying around. You could get really creative and create a unique decoration for each day.
