Girls Saffron Yellow Duffle Coat. *swoons*

When a parcel arrived from Vertbaudet this week, there was a small squeak of interest from the girl of the house.
But when I opened it and this saffron yellow girls duffle coat fell out? The squeaks turned to “oooh!”s from everyone, even the teen boys.

I mean seriously.

Who WOULDN’T want a coat like this?

But even better than the sheer prettiness, is the sheer practicality of it as a winter coat.
It’s thick and padded enough to keep out the stiffest of winter winds (we were on a hill top approximately 4hrs before the full force of St Jude hit us. It was WINDY), but it’s not so thick that it prevents anything other than a Michelin Man rolling walk.

The sleeves have internal jersey cuffs to keep out the cold draughts that sneak up my wrists in my own grown-up classic duffle coat every winter. (*jealous face*). And the stylish toggles are hiding a far warmer zip underneath – double closures make for the warmest small bodies.
The coat is lined with a thick and fluffy fleecy lining, and the roomy hood is lined with a pretty, softly padded cotton, so no itching issues when it’s a bit warm up round your forehead.

The hood is probably too roomy to stay put in a head-on wind without being clutched… but it IS unbelievably cute!

And if by any faint remote chance of a possibility yellow isn’t your girls thing? Well, that’s fine! Just LOOK at the colours you can choose instead…

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
