Dinosaur shoes – Raarrrr!

When Joe first opened the box to reveal a red dinosaur eye looking up at him, he shrieked and threw the box on the floor. I showed him the dinosaur footprint on the sole, the T-Rex on the other side, but he just kept insisting the shoes were too scary.

It was only when he noticed that the eyes (both the eye of the T-Rex and the “scary” eye) flashed red – I think he discovered this because he was throwing the shoes on the floor, you know, to show them who was boss – that he decided they were cool and deigned to have them on his feet.

Now he absolutely loves them. I love them too. They’re well-made, obviously comfortable and chunky enough that he can wear them in icy weather.

I asked Joe what his favourite thing about them is and he said, “The scary eyes…”
Toddlers are weird.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
