Clothes for Tall Women? I give you – Long Tall Sally. *nods*

The one and only problem I have with being tall (I’m a pretty happy 6’) is finding clothes to fit. And it’s not just the height thing, either – I’m not a nice evenly spaced stretched-out medium person.  Oh No. I have the back length of a 6’2” person, and the legs of a nicely above average 5’10”.
Oh, and I’m also of above-average hip-and-boob-age.
As you can see, clothes shopping is generally a disaster.
Nothing fits up and down as well as sideways.
Hopeless and depressing.

So, it was with snappy teeth and a pathetically weepy thanks that I agreed to review some clothes for Long Tall Sally.
Who was I kidding?
Long Tall Sally is the ONLY place my husband can buy for me with confidence, online, armed only with my dress size.
Their clothes fit me. Period.
They not only fit, but they are lovely too.
And well made.
And classically styled so they’ll last more than the next 4 weeks.
So those really rather wonderful people-who-make-clothes-for-tall-women asked me to look at their capsule summer wardrobe when we went to France recently; I plopped the parcel in my suitcase and did just that…

This was my absolute besty favourite of the lot.

Oh, what a genus dress this is. I love it. Love it love it loveitloveit. Black wouldn’t be my first choice for a summer dress, but I’ve simply lived in this. It’s so easy to wear!
I wore it to and from the pool on holiday, I switched from shoulder straps to the halter neck when I ever so slightly scorched my shoulders *cough*.
I popped it on first thing in the morning, and it still felt like the perfect thing to be wearing when curling up on the patio with a cool drink at the end of a hot day.
The smocking is wide and strong enough to keep my generous bosoms in order, and the length is, of course, perfect – no more too-short flappy sundresses making me uncomfortable. Remove the straps altogether, and it can give you another day’s wear as a maxi skirt too. Versatile holiday wardrobe staple or WHAT?

The soft jersey may not appear desperately cool, but it’s so thin it’s fine on the hottest of days – and of course wrinkle free, no matter how tightly you roll it and stuff it in your case. Looking for a perfect Holiday Dress? This Is it.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
