ScuttleBug! (no, we hadn’t heard of them either)

I knew the Scuttlebug trike was going to be a winner as soon as I took the box out of the postage wrapping. My little one started hopping about with excitement, squealing in that ear-splitting charming toddler way. Thankfully the scuttlebug literally took moments to be up and ready for her to start using (amazing how fast those squeals become tears!). She scooted backwards a lot. Then realised it went forward too… and she was...

A Perfect White Skirt For Summer – clothes for tall women from Long Tall Sally

A summer essential. First, and most important consideration when wearing any white skirt is to avoid that Jennifer A / Lady Di moment… is it lined? Thankfully, this one is lined with a nice soft cotton, so there’s not too many see-right-through-it incidents, and the day I forgot I was wearing purple knickers when I changed into this skirt the underwear went thankfully unnoticed by the public at large. Clothes for Tall Women? I give you – Long Tall Sally. *nods*

The one and only problem I have with being tall (I’m a pretty happy 6’) is finding clothes to fit. And it’s not just the height thing, either – I’m not a nice evenly spaced stretched-out medium person.  Oh No. I have the back length of a 6’2” person, and the legs of a nicely above average 5’10”. Oh, and I’m also of above-average hip-and-boob-age. As you can see, clothes shopping is generally a disaster. Nothing fits up and down...

The Shark Steam. I love it.

*yawn* I know, right? A steam cleaner? Seriously? But – bear with me. Because I love this little purple baby. I really do. And I’m no clean freak. In fact, I try very hard to do as little housework as I possibly can. Sadly, with four children, a giant puppy-dog, and living in deepest darkest mud-filled rural Dorset, a certain amount is necessary. Particularly on the floors. I have hardwood flooring and tiles throughout...

Kickers shoes. Kicking.

I have to say, when my first child was growing, I insisted on going to a ‘proper’ shoe shop, and only buying one brand of ‘proper’ shoes. But now I’m a wise old mama of four, and I know that there are more than one type of shoemaker, and more than one brand does it ‘properly’. And actually, what you want in a shoe is a good spacious fit, sturdy build, and something good looking enough for the...
