I consider myself to be a minor expert on boys jeans. I am, after all, the proud owner of three boys. Three boys of the outdoorsy/skateboardey/building-dens-in-the-woods-ey kind. (I’m not actually sure small boys come in other varieties, tbh).
So – jeans are, of course, essential wardrobe fodder. but they need to be decent ones. The denim needs to be soft enough to be comfortable, but thick enough to withstand some vigorous footie sliding tackles. The waist band could do with being adjustable – I have a both types of boy skinny ribs AND solidly built, and like to know either can be catered for. They need to look ‘cool’. Obviously. Oh, and the price tag needs to not make my knees quiver.
And up steps Vertbaudet. One great big fat TICK. These boys straight fit jeans have a brilliant re-inforced knee section, a cut which I ‘thought’ was just trendy, but actually makes for really easy to wear jeans for any Boy Task at hand. The length allows for some growing without drowning him in the need for turn-ups right now.
The only problem I have is removing them for long enough to wash them…
Boys Straight Jeans from Vertbaudet start at £18, and are available for boys from aged 2 to 14yrs.
