Did you see it? The sunshine? Yes, us too! I know, it’s gone again today, but it was here long enough for us to pull out the garden furniture, fire up the barbecue.. and spend another evening by the fire pit wondering if we’re brave enough to cook more than the usual burgers/sausages/chicken on the outdoor grill.
But lookety look what we’ve just found. A fabulous new outdoor pizza oven! It’s ceramic, so the oven can get to the supreme heat needed for genuine pizza ovens ( 350ºC) – way hotter than your conventional ovens.
It can handle a pizza base up to 35cm – and it’s not just a pretty pizza face. Oh no. It can also be used for barbecuing, baking bread and smoking food too – perfect for expanding our garden meal repertoire; Grenadier suggest chicken in a salt crust, giant calzone, or home-made chapatis on top of your amazingly delicious pizza-making abilities.
It will heat in about 30 minutes, using either charcoal or wood, and provide two hours’ cooking time without refuelling. It’s also portable, making it ideal for camping trips, and easy to clean.

Spotted! Brilliant sun headscarf for girls.
I do love a nice sun hat, don’t you? sadly, they’re not always practical for kids on the go. And my daughter (aka Captain Fearless) is definitely a kid on the go. She’s currently sporting a beautiful SIX INCH gash down her thigh from tree climbing two nights ago, when she just went “to play in the garden with the mice, mummy”.
I swear, she’s more trouble than all three boys rolled into one. Anyhoo. Sun hats. She loves her hats too, but a nice wide brim just doesn’t cut it when you’re scaling up the inside of fir trees. Or on a windy beach when she’s in and out of the water, either.
But head scarves – now that’s a match made in heaven.
And this particular one I spotted over at Topsy Toesy is pretty heavenly itself, no? LOVE the lime green paisley, and the side flower details which lifts it head and shoulders above other plain varieties I’ve seen.

Don’t tell me you don’t adore this Steiff Rabbit (named ‘Jolly Dangling’ – which, thinking about it, is probably more of a description on Steiff’s part, but which I rather like just as his name) – because if you do, I simply shan’t belive you. He’s wonderful, and I’d like to give hi a home please.
What a brilliant ‘First Easter gift’ for young babies to small to enjoy some Easter chocolate! My eldest still has the rabbit he received for his first Easter (though I believe I noticed recently that Rabbit appears to have sloped off to daughter’s room when No.1 wasn’t looking) – they make beautiful gifts for children.
