Well, there’s not much to go wrong with this set, is there? It’s LEGO, it’s The Hobbit… you get Gollum… ergo, your recipient will love it!

If (along with the rest of the parenting world) you missed out on the LEGO Minecraft set – *shakes fist at LEGO Minecraft Gods* – then your next best bet has got to be a Hobbit set, surely?

This one, The Riddle for the Ring, is a pretty neat set, and has the essential bits they’ll be after – Bilbo (with Sting of course), Gollum, a boat (with bones!), and a neat rock with a secret compartment for the Ring.
