London’s Original Open-Top Bus Tour – Review #GreatDaysOut

One of the things I’ve always wanted to do is take a bus tour – we’ve done them in lots of other cities and always found them a brilliant way to get an overview of a city that we don’t know well. So when the Original London Bus Tour got in touch and asked if we’d like to give London’s Original open-top bus tour a whirl I was obviously more than happy to say yes!  Providing more than just a great way...

The Spirit of Christmas Fair

The Spirit of Christmas Fair is held every year at the beginning of November at Olympia. As you walk through the doors the citrus smell evocative of Christmas envelops you, thanks to Pollyfields Christmas garlands right at the entrance. With over 600 stalls there is something for everyone and it really is a shopping extravaganza.  We went as a group of 4 friends and spent almost 7 hours there! We had a fabulous time. Having been...

Rock Climbing and Abseiling in Dorset for our #GoProAdventures

I think the most dreaded of our #GoProAdventures was the Rock Climbing and Abseiling in Dorset – only two of us were excited about the morning with Appetite for Adventure. The rest of us were quietly fearful! We couldn’t have hoped for better weather, though – the walk down to Dancing Ledge was utterly spectacular with sweeping blue skies meeting the sea on the horizon and barely a wisp of cloud. We all loved the walk so...

Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) in Dorset for our #GoProAdventures

When we were setting out our plans for our #GoProAdventures  there was one activity which Boy demanded, begged and pleaded for. Surfing. We tried it in Wales earlier this year, and he was utterly bitten by the surf bug, aching and aching to go and do it again. Sadly, our #GoProAdventures week coincided with a week totally lacking any kind of swell – standing up on a surf board wouldn’t have been any kind of a challenge,...
