Review – Mac & Ninny Bookplates from The Wise House
Bookplates. I love them. I always have done. As a child, opening up a book and seeing the official ‘This is MINE!’ sticker was always brilliant (maybe because I was the last of four, and very little actually was ‘mine’, most things were my sisters first…). So when The Wise House sent these Mac & ninny bookplates to review, I couldn’t resist them. They’re GORGEOUS! And much nicer than I...
Spotted! Gorgeous slippers from Ruby & Ed
Yes, it’s that time of year again… and we’re on the hunt for pretty toe warmers. Naturally, the first stop was at Ruby & Ed – and looks what’s nestled in this years collection? Isn’t it joyous? I love this piece of silly froth, and would adore wrapped sweetly around my chilly feet this winter.. The Lichen Posy Mules are £34 from the always-ruddy-marvellous Ruby & Ed’s site. Be warned...
When you’re having one of those days…
When you’re having a day like I’m having today, I’m thinking it might not be a bad idea to have one of these hanging somewhere highly visible. You never know what a little positive suggestion can do *eyes the rest of the day and waits expectantly for something good to show up…* The Expect A Miracle sign is available for £16.50 from the always delightful Jonny’s Sister.

But in theory, what do you do with them? I don’t like them being taken to bedrooms – I need them under my gaze where I can search them regularly for important letters, stray party invites and rogue apple cores....
Beautiful Totem Tree
Isn’t it fab? “Make this beautiful tree of life including 2 birds, a birdhouse, and mushrooms growing on the tree trunk. When assembled the tree is 70 cm high and 60 cm wide. Set it up in your room to admire, or undo it and magically transform it to make one of your own creations. Printed with all sorts of wood and plant textures, as well as with hidden ‘messages’ such as a print of crushed soda cans. Ages 6+....
Dyson’s DC39 – review
Everyone – meet the DC39 (DC39? This is everyone…). His name is Gik, and he’s been helping us around the house the last few weeks. Dyson did it again. You don’t buy a vacuum cleaner because of the way it looks. You just don’t. And yet.. it’s impossible – having this little monster in the house you can’t help but call it by a name. It just looks like something out of Star Trek (Yes, the...
