Fun Half Term Stuff at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE Manchester

From Saturday 15th to Monday 31st October, visitors are in for a treat at both LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE Manchester, as both gear up for some spooky half term and Halloween fun!

Even better, the two attractions are next door to each other, meaning a trip out is planned with ease and from just £17.50* online for a combi ticket, families can guarantee entry and bag a bargain.

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre, the ultimate indoor LEGO® playground, has been transformed into the world of Ninjago to celebrate the brand new LEGO® Ninjago adventure Day of the Departed. Visitors will get some stylish Ninja goggles on arrival and if that’s not enough, those in Ninja Warrior fancy dress will receive a limited edition LEGO® poster (while stocks last) – just ask at admissions!

Families can ignite their imaginations by building their own LEGO® Ninjago Eye Mask, taking part in the LEGO® Ninjago Laser Maze Challenge, and using their Ninja creativity to build a Ninjago vehicle in the LEGO® Racers Build and Test area! Visitors can also join a fun Ninjago build takeover at MINILAND®, get involved in an exciting character hunt and even have the chance to meet one of the stars of the Ninjago series, ‘Kai’, the Red Fire Ninja, who will be at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre every day until the 31st October.

To truly get into the Ninjago spirit, on Saturday 22nd October, bronze Olympic medallist Bianca Walkden and Aaron Cook, Moldovan taekwondo athlete, will be hosting some special mini taekwondo sessions for children between 10am to 16.30pm. Between these alternated sessions, families will get the chance to meet and greet the athletes, who train in Manchester, and even get photographs signed.

For LEGO® movie lovers, there’s two fantastic films that visitors can see. Guests can download themselves into an all-new 4D film experience starring the LEGO® NEXO KNIGHTS™ – at the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Manchester. Visitors can also see The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure, exclusively in LEGOLAND® cinemas.

Just next door, families can dive into the Spooky Seas event at SEA LIFE Manchester, coming face to face with thousands of mysterious sea creatures, including devil crabs, batfish, wolf-fish, vampire tangs and more!

Not to miss the scariest of them all this Halloween, Frankie the Giant Pacific Octopus and Otto the Common Octopus in Octopus Hideout, the newest additions this year. With no bones, these creatures can squeeze into tiny spaces, even camouflaging to match the environment to disguise itself.

Visitors will learn all about these fascinating creatures and the essential message that in fact in the sea, it is really humans that are the monsters, with littering, pollution and over-fishing. Families will find out all about how they can help protect sea creatures and what initiatives are in place to improve the underwater world and the life for the sea creatures within it.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
