I LOVE this book! It is my absolute favourite children's book right now, and destined to be a classic gracing every nursery bookshelf.

It's not for young toddlers, the pictures and the rhythm of the text and the subtleties do nothing for Ella. It needs a pre-schooler with patience, and anticipation for the grand finale.

SUCH a funny and clever book, and overriding it all those delicious, sumptuous, gorgeous illustrations of Emily Gravetts.

Even the outside is gorgeous. The linen bound spine, the smoothness of the hardback cover, the luxury of the thick watercolour-like pages...
