'Pop Up Party Time!' from Honey Hill - What WE Say...

This is a big book, and one Ella is not allowed to read alone – it lives on a high shelf in her room. Not because it is immensely special, but because the pop ups are fragile and I would hate for her to break them. Reading it then, has become a bit of a treat and needs to be settled into comfortably and with a certain amount of ceremony. Once we are stretched out comfortably on the floor (easier than the lap for the grand pop-up dioramas) we begin – but this is not a book to be rushed. Oh no. Every page there are pop ups to examine, tabs to pull, actions to re-enact (which mean rather a lot of jumping up and laying back down again. But not on my part) and items to count, find or spot.

The Honey Hill series are always reliable, and this one 4-page edition is a perfect way to spend 15 minutes on a rainy day.
