Two weeks ago it was Mr LitttleStuff’s 50th. I was on the hunt for something brilliant for us to do as a family (before the surprise party in the evening, the surprise weekend guests, the surprise dinner party.. oh and the surprise trip to Bordeaux… What? You’re only 50 once, right?). For a man who swore he never ever wanted children, he is the greatest dad our four could possibly ever wish for (though potentially they might request less of the waking-me-at-midnight-for-a-singalong…). I wanted to do something for his birthday that was just ‘us’.
I looked around for inspiration, and it was actually through Into The Blue’s site that I discovered a fabulous Activity Centre not very many miles away. I promptly booked Quad Biking (which had to be boys-only as minimum age was 13, and Bear’s only 9) and Clay Shooting – which we all did.

Both activities were just brilliant – and the sharing of the whole experience made it a truly great day full of fun and laughter and a bunch of new memories were created which won’t be forgotten.

I’m a total convert, and in future, birthdays will be more about experiences than about ‘stuff’. The richness of a shared memory, and time spent having fun are so very precious – more so than a last-minute desperation present buy because he just doesn’t need or want anything.

So if you fancy giving your Dad a fabulous experience of his own for Father’s Day, here’s your chance! It really couldn’t be easier to enter, it couldn’t be easier. Have a browse of the IntoTheBlue website and find the experience or day out that your Dad (or your partner, obviously – as long as they’re a Dad, they’re in) would love. Then all you have to do is shout about which one you’ve chosen and why by Tweeting or posting on IntoTheBlue’s Facebook page using the #experienceDad hashtag.
See – easypeasy!

And don’t let the chance of winning stop you from buying that perfect experience for Dad if you see it; if you win, they’ll reimburse you. And don’t forget, the first prize winner will bag themselves their very own £100 token too, to be spent on any activity on the IntotheBlue.co.uk website.

Be quick – The winner’s names will be drawn on Thursday 16th June at midday, so plenty of time to get the winning voucher by next day recorded delivery, in time for Father’s Day on Sunday.

So just to recap, the IntoTheBlue 2016 Father’s Day competition runs from the 27th May 2016 to midday on Thursday 16th June. One lucky winner will win the voucher that they’ve chosen for their Dad AND a £100 IntotheBlue token. Two runners up will also receive prizes of £50 activity tokens. All the experiences on our IntotheBlue.co.uk website with the exception of the tandem Spitfire flights are eligible for the competition, so get browsing and come up with a winner for you and your Dad. Good luck!

Closing date 12:00pm on the 16th of June. The person you enter does not have to be your father, but must be a dad. For example, it could be your partner or someone you know. One winner will win their chosen prize, and a £100 gift voucher. This will be delivered in our premium gift packaging, in time for Father’s Day. Two runners up will receive a £50 voucher each. Winners will be chosen at random on the 16th, and notified accordingly. If you purchase a Father’s Day gift from us, and then are lucky enough to win our top prize; you will be given a full refund for the price of your voucher. This only applies to the main winner. This competition does not include Spitfire flights. You may enter as many times as you like, but can only win one prize. UK residents only.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
