I can’t imagine being let loose with them in my bag…

But what to tackle first? #GetYourGarden is all about getting your outside space ready for those long lazy summer days (and nights). And yes, I am fully aware we’re in good ole Blighty, and ‘long lazy summer’ may well be wishful thinking. But we’re ALL about the positivity.
And anyway, with a  little forward planning, your garden can be a space to love in ALL weathers.

So much of the late spring/early summer work in the garden is about tidying and sorting, isn’t it?

We already trimmed our monster hedge (Steve), and created some surprisingly awesome garden storage space at the same time.
But there’s so much still to do. The shed needs re-treating, the new bike store needs finishing (and blogging, obviously), the new path needs laying, the new flower beds need to be moved from in-the-husband’s-head and out into real life so we can get on and plant them…

And of course there’s the genuinely funnest of all fun jobs. Getting out the Karcher and pressure-washing the patio.
I mean, come on.
Who doesn’t love a bit of pressure washer-ing?
I’m keen on scribbling with it, but the husband is far more logical and efficient, using the spinny brush thing and working methodically back and forth for a good even deep clean (I have way more fun though. Just saying.)
