Every year I go away for Christmas so for many year did not bother putting up a tree just to leave it alone until I come back in January to take it down.
However, with friends now sometimes visiting me before I leave it is of course nice to have a tree with lights. I have colours, flashing colours in different pattern combinations. Ok, yes, agree with some people who think plain white static lights are more classy, but I am happy to go OTT on my Christmas tree lights for the short time I will probably be viewing them.
