  29. During the day I catch up in all the Christmas Day TV recordings whilst my husband watches his sport and then all the family come around at teatime for cold turkey & ham & chips with pork pie & pickles. I think they enjoy this more than the Christmas dinner!

  243. for the past three years we have had a second christmas day on boxing day – we are doing it again this year, the only difference is we have a large roast beef rather than turkey, other than that its all the same in that we get up early and have christmas over again with my partners parents this time!!! lol, its hard work but so much fun!

  349. We don’t have any rituals yet. We have 4 children aged 1-6 and don’t live near any family or have the time or patience to drive half the length of the country to get to them. Our Boxing day last year involved turkey curry and lots of chocolate. In childhood we would always spend Boxing day morning with my Mum’s mum and have lunch there and the afternoon with my Dad’s parents and have tea there and play table skittles and look forward to chocolate roulade

  499. Hope with the tv, retailers have usually had enough cash out of me at christmas without me being tempted by the boxing day sales and the usual “special buys” tat offered in most of them :)

  503. My brother and our families usually visit our mum and dad for lunch and a few drinks, then the kids stay at granny and grandads while the left adults head down the local for a few more drinks!

  505. We keep some presents back till Boxing Day and extended the festivities! A gammon meal in the afternoon and leftovers in the evening :)

  510. We go sale shopping in the morning then vome back for lunch and habe xmas dinner legt overs and glazed honey ham , with pickled onions and chips , then have some luxury puddings and chocolates then in the afternoon we always play family games and watch xmas tv while eating xmas nibbles

  527. Boxing day is a relaxed day, where the children get to play with their new toys and we catch up with Christmas Day TV and perhaps start on that new book we were given, the afternoon is normally sat in front of a festive movie eating cheese and crackers and chocolate

  532. We traditionally spend Boxing Day cuddled up on the couch in our pyjamas with candles lit in the fireplace, admiring the Christmas tree and our new holiday memories.
