Win a Family Holiday in Wallonia, Belgium! | #LittleStuff24

Advent Calendar Door One

“Sleigh bells riiiiiing, are you listening….”

It’s the 1st of December and the season has truly begun – the first door of #LittleStuff24, our 9th Annual Advent Calendar of Competitions, is now open!
Behind door No.1 is an unbelievable prize from ‘Visit Wallonia’ – a week’s family holiday in Belgium!

At around 2hrs away from Calais, Southern Belgium makes an easy choice as a short break option for the family. Unspoiled landscape, soft rolling hills and pretty villages, and some great fun filled ideas for Wallonia – the green heart of Belgium.

The largest body of water in Belgium is the Eau d’Heure lakes, near the French border. Families love the 30 miles of prettily fringed shoreline – perfect for cycling, walking and exploring the wildlife and natural beauty of the area.  A kind of Wallonian ‘Lake District’ you can all try the water sports, and the hop-on-hop-off amphibious bus – The Red Crocodile.

If water sports aren’t your thing, then head for the wonderful PairiDaiza zoo and botanical park.  Meet giant Pandas Hao Hao, Hui and their baby Tian Bao in the Chinese garden and the majestic elephants in Ganesha’s kingdom. With over 4,000 animals from all over the world including: giraffes, hippopotamus, white tigers, orang-utans, it’s no wonder that Pairi Daiza was voted best zoo in Europe in 2018.

Or perhaps you fancy a walk on the moon at the Euro Space Centre? Train like an astronaut and float around using simulators, build your own rocket or operate a galactic mission and learn to live like an astronaut in space.

Rounding off a year of commemoration of WW1 why not choose an educational and historic trip to the Mons Memorial Museum, which invites you to question the multiple, complex realities of the phenomena of war through the fates of the men and women who witnessed the events first hand, from trench warfare and poignant stories to occupied villages and the resistance.

For further information check out more ideas at www.walloniabelgiumtourism.co.uk or call the Belgian Wallonia Tourist Office on 0207 531 0390.

And thanks to the Belgian Tourist Office in Wallonia, we’re offering one lucky family the opportunity to win a week’s stay in Belgium, plus the Eurotunnel tickets too!

They’ve spoken to the folks at Novasol, who are offering a stay in this gorgeous apartment set on a family-friendly holiday resort near Durbuy. The resort provides an array of communal facilities including a playground, an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, and there’s a restaurant and launderette on site.

The holiday home has two bedrooms, providing comfortable accommodation for up to six guests (including a sofabed). Large windows bring in plenty of natural light, and yes there’s a fireplace for a chilly October evening! Oh, and you’re allowed to take the dog too!

There’s some T&C’s though, so before you enter double check that you’re available for half term week on October next year; the prize is to be taken the week commencing the 19th Oct 2019.

To be in with a chance to win, just answer the first four questions in the widget box below. There are more chances to win by completing the other entry options if you so wish – they’re entirely up to you! The closing date for this competition is 6th January 2019 and only entries received on or before that date can be included. The winner will be the first randomly chosen entry. Good luck!

(and don’t forget once you’re done here, there’s still all the other competitions running, with prizes worth over £4,000 in the rest of #LittleStuff24 – go enter them all!)

Author: Laura

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
