Top 5 ASOS Autumn Buys We Love – ALL UNDER £20!

With our British “Summer” slowing to a halt and Autumn fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about what on earth you’re going to wear for the next 6-8 months. September’s here, and with it comes the frumpy jumpers, jeans & boots combos you whack out every year… I know ‘tis the season to wrap up warm and go for practical over… well, anything. And the drawn-out nights do make it more difficult to feel sexy, feminine and comfortable all at once… However, I think I’ve found some potential steals that will pad out your wardrobe nicely (or the wardrobe of your clothing-hungry, bank-breaking teen, obviously). Oh, did I mention they’re all £20 and under?
We’ve discovered a secret – ASOS have a hidden page of their Best Buys for Under £20 – though I may have just let the cat out of the bag.

Thank me later.

1 – BRAVE SOUL WRAP FRONT MIDI DRESS IN BLACK FLORAL – £17.00 (RRP £45)

This beautiful number can be dressed up or down and suits all seasons (weather dependant!). Dark florals and sleeves are huge right now and this dress ticks all the boxes for me. Chic it up with a leather jacket, some black tights and a pair of chunky boot heels or if you’re going casual, plain white trainers/ converses would be a great way to tone it down whilst the small slits keep it flirty and fun.

Plus, check out the price tag… This wrap front midi dress is reduced from £45 to just SEVENTEEN POUNDS! Bargain!

2 – QED LONDON CABLE KNIT JUMPER WITH CONTRAST TIPPING STRIPE – £16. (RRP £32)

You can’t go wrong with knitwear and this year is no exception. Layering knitwear is all the rage and this cute little mustard and white trim jumper caught my eye straight away – it definitely had nothing to do with the 50% off label… Okay, it did, but it’s just so pretty and reasonably priced, how could I resist?!
Chuck this mustard jumper – just TWELVE POUNDS! – on when the temperature starts to dip; teamed with a pair of mom jeans, a little black bag and you’ll look effortlessly pulled together.

Speaking of little black bags…

3 – GLAMOROUS OVERSIZED TOTE BAG WTH RESIN RING DETAIL – £20

Bag Buying Struggles: “It’s too small, it’s too big, too many pockets, not enough pockets” etc. I leave the shop more confused than when I went in and having developed a new found empathy for Goldilocks’ indecisive nature. Then I found this bag! The resin ring and tasselled detailing adds a little pizzazz to this otherwise plain tote bag. It’s the perfect LBB (Little Black Bag… If that isn’t a thing, it is now) which will look amazing with well, pretty much anything! It’s not leather, but… I won’t tell if you don’t.
The perfect Glamorous Oversized Tote is £20 – Buy buy buy!

4 – ASOS DESIGN SUPERSOFT LONG WOVEN SCARF WITH RAW EDGE (IN TOBACCO) – £12.00

I love scarves. I love scarves even more when they’re big enough to be a small blanket. The raw-cut edges give it a simplistic quirk that your bulk standard scarves just don’t have. Oh, and in case you can’t tell already, I’m a fan of yellowy tones and this gorgeous burnt ochre colour is a wardrobe must-have! If you’re not a fan, this super soft scarf comes in 4 other colours too. With Pokémon in mind (and the supersoft scarf at just £12 a pop), I’ve gotta catch ‘em all!

5 – PULL&BEAR JOIN LIFE HOODED PADDED JACKED (IN CREAM) – £19.99

White out! Add some warmth to your wardrobe with this cool hooded puffer jacket from Pull&Bear. Frosty tones are going to be big this season but I can’t see this lightweight padded jacket going anywhere anytime soon except in your wardrobe as a staple item. At just £19.99, it’s a no brainer!

Also, if it is just a seasonal trend never to return, it’s just one more reason for you to relocate to the mountains and live in a luxurious ski chalet with your padded Pull&Bear number. Worse things have happened right?

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
