LOVE this Platform Bed on Wayfair!

I have absolutely totally decided that THIS will be the year that we finally really definitely get round to the bedroom makeover. A while back I wrote about my dream bedroom plans – and this will be the year I finally lose the 90’s blue wallpaper and make that cool welcoming elegance of a retreat a reality.

So I already have my eye on the things I’ll be looking for; and one of them is definitely a new bed to replace the pine bed frame given to us as a wedding present 20-odd years ago. Mr LittleStuff has hated it for at least 20-odd years (it has knobbly foot posts which he thwacks his knee on in the middle of the night at least once a month. You’d think he’d have learned where they are by now wouldn’t you?)

And THIS is the bed I want. Stylishly chic, contemporary and subtle – and yet comfortable and practical too.
See – we have a small bedroom. to maximise space, we ideally need a divan bed frame so that there’s no extra width take up by the frame wrapping around the mattress. but… I hate divans. With their boxy all-the-way-to-the-floor-ness.

This Marita Upholstered Platform Bed from Wayfair is the perfect compromise for me; the divan styled mattress-to-the-edge width, and yet with space and those gorgeously quirky wooden feet too.

Yes, it’s solid wood, and yes it comes with that fabulous headboard (I don’t have a headboard. I have a pine bed. I want a headboard, dammit…).

And thrice yes, you can get it in time for Christmas (if you’re quick!) – the Marita Upholstered Platform Bed is under £232 on Wayfair.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
