Day 6 – Driving again… #ItalyRoadTrip
And so onwards towards Rome. Planning the journey, it had seemed entirely feasible to plan in 5 hour drives. However, it has become rapidly obvious that this is actually a bit ambitious. Routes always take longer than we anticipated, and when you add in stopping for lunch, you can add at least an hour on to every day. Six hours is just too long, really, and is making the travelling more exhausting than we expected. So having come the...
Venice in a day – Day Five of the Great #ItalyRoadTrip
(be sure to follow us on Twitter or Instagram for regular updates on our four week adventure touring Italy in a motorhome) Up bright and early, we were at the campground reception office by 8.30 to buy our bus tickets into Venice. The bus stop is right outside the camp gates, and the bus comes every 30 minutes – it couldn’t be easier. A very helpful local stopped us getting on the wrong bus, and then assisted us with the...

So I had a quick casual look at some cruise holiday deals (oh come on, we ALL do it. Bored for five minutes, cup of coffee in hand… before you know it you’re either nosily browsing Rightmove for a new million pound house, or planning your...
Planning the NEXT Adventure – Paris, I think.
So whilst we’re in the frantic last stages of planning our amazing Italian Road Trip (we leave in four days *gulp*), I admit my brain is already turning towards what’s next. Because I’ve got the bug now. We’ve done so much this year – the Welsh activity weekend, our Scottish Adventure, a grown up Paris city break, the Italian Road Trip… but I really really want to take the children to Paris....
Cruising – would you go with children?
I’ll be honest – I’ve never really fancied going on a cruise. I’m not sure why – I think it was the feeling that it was simply being locked in a hotel with all the guests for days ata time. I like my ‘me’ space too much! But recently? I’ve been wondering. Because I’ve been sorting and organising for our amazing Family Road Trip (which starts next week. SO absolutely not ready yet...
