Though I always feel the website should come with a little warning flash – be aware that if you step inside, you may be gone for a while…
WAY too many pretties – far more than have a right to be housed in one shop. There’s the amazing kitchenwares (careful, you might bump into some Orla Kiely that somehow falls into your basket), the lushness of the soft throws and rugs, the fabulous lighting… there’s even a whole department devoted to jugs (an irresistible weakness of mine. Would you LOOK at this turquoise acrylic pitcher!)
Not to mention the face that every time I stop by I come across a new brand I’ve not heard of before – and promptly fall in love with them. Take their range of Seletti for example…
I mean… Yes. Please. Thank you. All of it. It’s frankly bonkers… but so much fun.
Amara just feels like a web version of the very best of a traditional department store. The old fashioned posh shop on the high street when you were a kid, that you though was the most luxurious place in all the world, filled with fabulous items you never knew existed… and yet which you really really want.
And the lovely folks at Amara thought you might like to run wild through their shop with one hundred of their pounds.
