Stripy Blankets!

Stand by for a bit of a love fest.
See, I do love soft things. And stripy things. And lovely coloured things.
And the blankets from the Stripy Blankets Company?
All those things.
Oh yes.
And spots too.

You need one.
No, honestly.

This blanket is perfect, and Pink adores it nearly as much as I do. And the best thing is that it’s such good quality I can see her still using it in 20 years time.

Despite her best ministrations, this blanket still looks perfect, even after months of ‘loving’ it with a bit of dribble, a bit of wee (sorry), a bit too much jam and an awful lot of dragging it around. It’s not too bulky, but is plenty big enough for us both to curl up under on the sofa for a book sharing cuddle-up. It’s big enough for tea parties, small enough for the car, handy to use on her cotbed (you know, as blanket of all things), and despite having pink on it isn’t the least bit offensive to three big brothers (who all try to snaffle some useage when her back is turned).

It machine washes really well (and yes, it is 100% lambswool so use the wool cycle!) and though I’ve not dared to tumble dry such a precious thing (I am not that stoopid) it does dry remarkably quickly.

As always, we suggest you do have a mooch around the lovely, outdoors-fresh site; there’s cotton versions too (and some with spots!), and if you really don’t like the stripes (tsk) there’s even a (nice-but-duller-than-the-stripes) plain one for you.

Bestest of bests, The Stripy Company is run by two Mums – Anouk and Christa – and you know how much we like it when we find Lovely Products being sold by Lovely Mums. Happiness is thus.

*NB – The Stripy Company since changed their blanket sizes. You can now choose between a pram blanket size, or a large picnic blanket. Even better!

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.

  2. hmmm… carefully edited so you only get to see the acceptable-to-be-seen-in-public parts of the house, i have to admit :) BUT – the blankets really really are very beautiful, with no editing at all, I promise.

  3. those stripy blankies look so inviting but where are the grown up sized ones?

    • Actually, Claire, the cot bed ones are plenty big enough for a chilly grown up on a sofa, morning or evening. But yes, a full on double-sized version would be just too perfect.
