How do YOU unwind around the home?

Furniture specialists Rattan Direct need your help – well, just your opinion actually (and let’s be honest, we all know how much you love to share your opinion); they’re trying to find out exactly how parents are choosing to relax and unwind around the house.

I know, I laughed too at the very idea of a long relaxing unwind at the end of the day. But actually, it was interesting – I hadn’t really stopped to think about it before, but I definitely head to the kitchen to bake when I’m feeling stressed. And whilst gardening is definitely Mr LittleStuff’s big stress reliever, for me it;s much more likely to be swinging in the hammock reading a book than it is puttering about in the beds with a trowel and secateurs. That’s just a chore for me.

The survey takes less than two minutes (no, really, I just completed it), and there are questions on de-stressing, on Christmas plans, a few on if your home plans have changed post-Brexit… It’s simple, and there’s NO personal details collected, either.

Christmas plans… still feels too soon, doesn’t it? But our plans don’t really change, year on year. We don’t go visiting family any more, they always come to us, and we spend the day gathered together around the fire and the tree, with regular excursions to the dining room for vast quantities of delicious food. I simply cannot imagine any world events shaking those plans, they’re so fixed we never even discuss it any more. We all know exactly what happens when :)

So go ahead and help Rattan Direct out and complete the survey – it’ll be interesting to see if I’m the only one who doesn’t find gardening a soothing activity. And is anyone else a stress baker? There’s nothing like cake-baking after 10 at night when the house is quiet and you just need to process the day’s events.

You can

(btw, I can see a serious amount of de-stressing going on in one of these babies. I mean seriously – how can you NOT unwind in your garden with one of these daybeds? *want*…

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
