What WE Say...

Katy was asked to try out the Mei Mei baby lotions and potions. These included; baby lotion, baby cream, nappy cream, liquid baby powder, baby shampoo and baby bath.

All of the Mei Mei products get a big thumbs-up because I'll confess to being a bit of an organic-eco-neurotic Mother, you see, and like to use the good stuff for my boys. The lotion and cream are very nice and light, just as they should be for babies and the nappy cream works well too. My absolute favourites in the Mei Mei product range are the baby shampoo and baby bath. Ooooooohhhh, the smell of my boys’ heads after being washed and dried was just wonderful. They do get rather irritated with me after awhile, small boys can only take so much nose-burying head-sniffing by their Mum. No matter how much I tell them of the sacrifices I’ve made for them, nope, they won’t tolerate more than 2 minutes of me inhaling the divine smell of their freshly washed Mei Mei hair. Sigh.

The Mei Mei stuff has this amazing, natural smell to it. Not strong, not over powering, no fake-chemical-aroma at all but definitely that perfect clean-baby smell. When your baby is all squeaky clean and shiny from a soaked-the-bathroom-but-oh-what-fun bathtime session, all cosy and snug in your lap while you read a story before bed, aaaaahhhhhhh, makes all those horrid labour pains and sleepless nights SO worth it!

The baby shampoo is just great. I am delighted to find a shampoo that is pure and natural (no petrochemicals or parabens, thank you) and won’t irritate their eyes as it has a ‘Tear Free’ formula that works! It’s also really good value because you only need a teeny tiny blob of the stuff to get a nice lather going – you know, enough to make mohawks and spiky horns. After four months on 2 boys’ heads being washed most nights we are only half way through the 200ml bottle. Pretty darn good value, yes?!
