What WE Say...

The Maclaren beginning Pause starter kit for Mums and Embrace starter kit for babies have been reviewed by Lisa, a good friend of LittleStuff, and her gorgeous baby boy Matthew.

The packaging for these kits immediately "feels" as organic as they say it is; it is simple but expensive looking and would definitely make a fabulous gift for a new Mum and baby.

The Embrace starter kit for baby....

The lavender fragrance is very soothing and the choice of products inside is great. My favourite is the Cocooning Massage Oil which Matthew loves me using on him. It has a gentle lavender fragrance that is not too strong and it really relaxes him. We also love the Protecting Nappy Change Balm which is a great size for a change bag. I wasn't too sure about using the Absorbing Dusting Powder as I'm not used to using powders but soon discovered that it is great in the thigh creases to absorb moisture. It is also a handy size for my change bag. The Soothing Delicate Soap, Calming Bath Milk, Comforting Room Mist are also beautifully scented whilst still feeling natural. There is also a Celebration Natural Wax Candle in the kit with a suggestion to use it to mark memorable milestones but it is tiny and you could only burn it for a few seconds or you would only have one use! To me, personally, the candle seems a bit out of place but other Mummies may like it more.

The Pause starter kit for mother....

The orange fragrance is nice and has a natural edge, doesn't smell synthetic. My favourite is the Balancing Facial Mist, it really is a wonderful pick me up, especially after 2 hours sleep with a new baby! I also like the Supporting Belly Balm and Alleviating Leg Lotion; nice, rich and soothing. The Nurturing Bath Milk, Purifying Bath and Shower Elixir and Connecting Massage Oil are all very nice to use too, they make you feel just a little bit pampered, although I'm not too sure how many new Mummies get much of a chance to give themselves a massage as suggested! Still, the thought is nice......

All in all I think these are lovely products that make a thoughtful gift.
