Lupilu Toilet SeatWhat WE Say...Well, this was a glamorous assignment and no mistake. Sometimes we get to review posh cots, and sometimes... toilet training seats. :O But... Secretly I was thrilled that House of Leva asked us. Not just because I adore their children's bedroom furniture (which is so clever and stylish, and completely fabulous) but because (he'll kill me for telling the world this) my youngest son, at the ripe old age of 4 and 3/4, is still frightened he's going to fall down the toilet. Honestly. He sits on it sideways, so that he can hold on to the bath. All because he did slip in when he was toilet training, and frightened himself when he was too wedged to slip back out. And I'm very proud that not once did he see me laugh. ;) So we installed the toilet seat, and got Toby to come and try it. His first reaction? 'Ooh, Mummy, it's not too big for my bottom! It's really comfy!' And since the seat has been attached to the toilet, he has used it sitting forwards (which has avoided the whole messy wee-down-the-side-of-the-bowl scenario), and confidently. He LOVES having his own toilet seat. But we love it too - its comfortable, smart and doesn't look nasty the way the old-fashioned plastic toilet inserts used to. Plus there's no lifting in and out, no storage necessary of smaller seats, and hygiene is so much easier. The soft-close lid is wonderful - I'm amazed I ever lived without it. Long gone are the days of the Lid Crash, the historical audio accompaniment to all late night/early morning toilet visits. And the older boys are intrigued by the fact that they can't slam it either - I now I have a house full of well-trained lid closers! So, it's a big thumbs up for the LupiLu toilet seat. I only wish I'd had one years ago - would have made the transition from potty to toilet just so painless. Ah well, at least I get to use it with Ella! *A Small Postscript from Katy* Right, that's it, I'm getting me one of these too. We've got the slot-on-top of the existing toilet seat ones which are great and Jacob uses them well... but, when he's left his 'urgent business' to the last minute (which is the norm - *eyes, rolling*) it's this big race and clatter to get the seat into place and the steps..... and yes, there have been a few occasions when he hasn't quite fitted the seat into place in time.... ick, sigh.
