In the Night Garden ToysWhat WE Say...Well. I don't think there can be many parents of pre-schoolers who aren't familiar with the NinkyNonk, IgglePiggle, UpsyDaisy and (Joe's favourite) the Tombliboos. But we wanted to be sure that manufacturers, Hasbro, haven't cashed in on the popularity and rushed through a whole heap of massively desirable toys which are simply not up to standard. We need not have feared. Ben has had the NinkyNonk on daily trial and particularly loves it in his highchair as he waits for dinner. Our newest member of the team, practically-5-year-old Lizzy has been 'testing' the interactive UpsyDaisy and this is what Lizzy's Mum, Lisa, says: "..Upsy Daisy is fab! She loves it to bits and pieces, takes it to bed at night (which of course results in us being baffled at midnight when the thing starts singing/blowing kisses as she rolls over and lays on it!) It's been to school too, on Lizzy's 'special day', as one of her 3 most precious things. So yes, a big success! I secretly love it too - very cute, very appealing - such a sweet little face! (Am I going mad?)." Even Ella, at 10 months, has discovered the joy of a little mini UpsyDaisy of her very own. The programme is just fabulous and the toys really do live up to it, for once. They are well put together, well designed, match the TV characters perfectly and of course there's a whole mountain of associated merchandise that every child quite simply *needs* from Father Christmas this year. Go on - we don't recommend high street trends often, but you can't lose with this one. You can see the whole range available on their own enchanting website (which is definitely worth a look with your child). Of course, the biggest problem with these popular toys is actually getting hold of them! The most complete range we've found is at Hamleys - click on the image or the link below to go right to it.
