What WE Say...

I've never been a big one for nursery commemorative plates/pictures - we take soo many photographs that those serve as our diary, and I have the baby books (somewhere...) that record all the useful info about the birth.

But when I saw Carla's site I just fell in love. These are not your run of the mill twee little bunny rabbits so often seen in nursery items. Oh no.

Carla is a children's illustrator, and her animals are fun, bright and just plain gorgeous! Reminiscent of contemporary children's animated programmes, these are something for the modern fun & fresh nursery.

Carla produces many different items with her art, but we received the Sheep Nursery Wall Art to look at. I don't know if you can see from the image here, but its basically sheep in a field. Funny sheep, with mad expressions. And around them are written all the details of Ella's birth - her address, her weight etc, the names of all her brothers (and us her insignificant parents) too.

When it arrived it was sweetly wrapped, and it is already mounted onto board ready to frame and hang. And it just looks charming hanging on the nursery wall!

Of course, now I have the problem of three boys grumping that we 'never got one of those when THEY were born....'
