Surprisingly Fab Clothing for Girls (from Nutmeg. Who knew?)

I know, Morrisons possibly isn’t the first place you’d think of taking your 9yr old daughter clothes shopping, is it?
But think again, ladies. I’m a total convert!
Take a look at these…

navaho blouse by nutmeg

This is the Navaho Blouse (to be honest I’m loving the entire Navaho range), and it’s available in ages 5-13yrs for just £7. The fabric is soft and flowing, and the embroidery detail at the top is gorgeous. The length is generous even for my tall almost-10yr-old, meaning she’s got months of wear in it (we often find sleeve length a real issue but not with this range) – which is a good thing, because it’s rapidly become outfit of choice (thankfully it washes well and dries fast too!). It works over jeans as much as it does teamed with a nice skirt for an evening out; exactly the versatility a girl needs.

denim skirt for girlsAlso in the Navaho range is this gorgeous denim skirt. Such a wardrobe staple – and as denim skirts go, this one’s a good’un. Soft thick denim, nice interesting panel detail on the front, and a really good practical length. What’s not to love? It’s a win over some thick woolly tights, all winter long.
It’s also a mere £7, in sizes 5-13yrs.

I admit it, when we receievd this cape I dismissed it with “and when is she ever going to wear that?” shrug.
silly me.
The girl picked it up, tried it on, looks unreasonable fabulous in it, and hasn’t left it alone since.
It’s actually not as thick and heavy as it looks – the soft fleecy fabric feels more like a thin rug, perfect for wearing around the house on cooler days that don’t require a thick jumper, or for throwing on when you’re just popping out.
The cape is actually stitched so there are ‘sleeves’ making it really practical to wear, and the colours look amazing. I admit it, I was wrong – this one gets a LOT of wear!
At £12 (again sizes 5-13yrs) it’s really not going to break the bank, and it’ll be a gorgeous extra layer all through the winter.

You can’t shop online for Morrisons’ Nutmeg clothing, but see this page to find your nearest stockist.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
