Bring stocking-fillers to life –  fabulous augmented reality story book for kids for under £5

Gone are the days of apples and colouring books as Christmas stocking-fillers. Get kids excited about reading with the first mini interactive book, bought to you by augmented reality company, Zappar!

I didn’t really get it, I’ll admit it. But then I downloaded the Zappar app, and started zapping the book. Oh man this is clever!
The storyline is an average toddler rhyming picture book – but the interactive images were so cool that my chapter-book-reading 9yr old and I eagerly scanned each and every page. It’s awesome!

Above is the photograph of the book on my desk, sitting exactly as you’d expect any board book to sit.
Below is the screen shot from my phone – the exact same book, in the exact same position, a minute later. Look at how I can see around the sides of the hero! And by swiping the screen I can spin his helmet – and change the background to suit. The snorkelling diver is under water surrounded by fish, for example.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
