I have a new hobby. It’s called Homify.

Have you seen Homify yet?

Oh me oh my, you’re in for a serious treat.

If you love a bit of interiors design (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?), then Homify is likely to feel like all your Christmases come at once. It’s like someone took the whole contents of Pinterest, mixed them up with all the very best interiors blogs and magazines, scooped out all the inspiring pictures and ideas, then categorised them neatly for you to easily browse through at your leisure; and then sprinkled in a whole heap of experts and professionals.

To be honest it’s a little daunting for a second, it’s so BIG. But then you spot the filing system… and before you know it you’re off. You can choose to look at the room of your choice (with over 240,000 pictures you’ll be there a while…). And when I say ‘room’ that’s not just bedroom/bathroom/kitchen/living room. Need to update your gym? Give your garage a makeover? Create an astonishing spa space complete with real trees growing through it? Yes, you’re starting to get the idea now…
Or maybe you just want to browse fireplaces? Or eclectic kids rooms? Looking for Minimalist Walls & Floors inspiration? Yup, got that too.

Rustic Italian Bedroom from a project by ARCHITETTO SILVIA GIACOBAZZI / Homify

Honestly, it’s impossible to dip in for just a couple of minutes… the place is an enormous cavern of inspiration, packed with an “oooh!” at every turn. Before you know it your coffee is cold as your head was turned by that stunning rustic bedroom space. Click on it for a closer look, and you can follow the project link, and find yourself on the project page which shows you exactly where the house is on Googlemaps, with a folder of images for you to nose through be inspired by.

And every image can be saved to your own Ideabooks so you never lose it – much like Pinterest boards, but with a working notebook attached to say what exactly you like from each image. With Homify it’s just way way deeper, and far more practical than a simple pinboard. It’s not just inspiration – you can speak to the people who have completed the projects, and find your own specialist professionals who could help you bing your own dream project into fruition. There’s a fabulously inspirational magazine section rammed with great features, and even discussion boards for you to ask for help, tips and advice.

Or you could, y’know, just spend half an hour next to a cold cup of coffee creating your ultimate kitchen design…

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
