The New Lottie Dolls – have you seen? The Very Best Dolls For Young Girls – Christmas Gift Guide

I am a huge huge HUGE fan of the Lottie Doll. Have you seen them? Super-cute little play dolls – who all look… like little girls.

Gone are the impressive adult breasts, tucked in waists, super-long legs, high heels and mini skirts.
In their place? Lottie has a… normal body. She looks like any other girl does. She doesn’t wear makeup, jewellery or high heels – she can stand on her own two feet (as they say, ‘always a useful life skill for all girls, big and small’).

She’s all about letting girls be girls, doing all the activities a child would do, not growing up too quickly, and presenting a healthy view on body image.

I know. Brilliant.

There’s new dolls in the range this year – they’ve added a Pirate, Robot Girl (scientist),  Butterfly girl (conservationist), a Lighthouse Keeper, Kawaii Karate Lottie, and Pandora’s Box Lottie who is volunteering at an animal shelter. But don’t worry – these are no dull and earnest dolls. My 6yr old plays a LOT with her English Country Garden Lottie (who simply likes to picnic…), and there’s an achingly girlie ballerina and a pony-mad Lottie too. One for everyone.

All the dolls are £17, and you can buy accessories for each one too. Take a look at the Lottie Doll’s page on Amazon here. Which one do you like best?

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
