Brilliant make-you-hungry Chiquitos Review from @Mummy_loves

A couple of weeks ago I took my 16 year old son to review the Chiquito Restaurant in Nottingham. We love nothing more than to go out for a meal together and even better when it is paid for ;)
I booked us a table using the website as we were going on a Saturday night I knew they would be busy so didn’t want to take any chances. The Nottingham Chiquito’s is right next to a Showcase Cinema so you can guarantee on a Saturday night they are going to be at their busiest! That is one of the main reasons I choose a Saturday night as I wanted to really test them!

We arrived at 7pm and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table. I wasn’t wrong when I said it was going to be busy; but it never felt chaotic or out of control.

nachos starter

(Fully Loaded Nachos £9.95)

We really could not fault the meal, everything was delicious and perfectly cooked!

enchiladas

(Baked Enchiladas £10.95)

Fajitas

(Grilled Steak Fajitas £15.95)

The service was fantastic, there was a slight mix up with our mains where they were taken to the table next to us, this was a very easy mistake to make as we had ordered at the same time and ordered almost identical mains.

brownie

(Chocolate Brownie £4.95)

Churros

(Churros £3.95)

The bill for the two of us came to about £58 which was slightly over the £50 we had been given but I did have a couple of beers. I do find the prices on the high side – but I guess they are in keeping with other chain restaurants.

Overall the service and food was great! The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a great buzz in the restaurant. I would definitely go again with my son, it’s not somewhere I would take the little ones but perfect for older kids and teens!

Chiquitos was (were?) beautifully reviewed for us by the ever-lovely Sonia from Mummy Loves. And having read that, tell me you’re not now starving…

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
