How to make a foam crown

Be the King or Queen of the castle with this easy to make and fun crown design. Thanks to Stacey from cutfoam who offer foam cut to size. Both boys and girls will enjoy making and decorating these crowns. Making this out of foam means it is very comfortable to wear. The jewels and sequins can be bought from any craft shop.

You will need:

One large sheet of foam

Elastic

Wooden skewer

Jewels and/or sequins for decoration

Scissors

Glue

Step 1

Draw a crown shape on your sheet of foam.

Step 2

Cut out the crown shape.

Step 3

Decorate your crown as you wish.

Step 4

Use the wooden skewer to make a hole in each side of the crown.

Step 5

Cut a piece of elastic, the right length for your child’s head. Push the ends of the elastic through the holes and tie a knot.

Your little king or queen will have great fun wearing this crown. If you cut out the crown patterns in advance, the children can decorate them as a craft activity at a party. They will love choosing their own colour and decorations, then they will have something lovely to take home.

A 70's child, I’ve been married for a Very Long Time, and appear to have made four children, and collected one large and useless dog along the way. I work, I have four children, I have a dog… ergo, I do not do dusting or ironing. I began LittleStuff back in (gulp) 2004. I like huge mugs of tea. And Coffee. And Cake. And a steaming cone of crispy fresh fluffy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar. #healthyeater When I grow up I am going to be quietly graceful, organised and wear lipstick every day. In the meantime I *may* have a slight butterfly-brain issue.
