I wasn’t sure either of my boys would be interested in the Castle of Courage. Neither of them has shown much interest in any sort of role-play game, but they were both keen to help me get on and build the castle, which was a bit of a challenge…
There are a LOT of pieces, but fortunately the instructions are clear and concise and once I had all the pieces laid out in order – and David had taken Joe away so the pieces wouldn’t all get flung around the room – it was relatively easy to build. It was fun seeing the castle coming together and it looked extremely impressive once built.
Harry particularly loved the working drawbridge and played for ages with the Knights, mainly flinging them off the battlements. Joe loved climbing in and out of the castle and waving the flags. The only problem is that the castle takes up a lot of room. Playing with it one day, Joe realised how easy it was to take apart and had it entirely dismantled in minutes (while Harry screamed and tried to stop him).
We’ll definitely be building it again… once we find the instructions.

I’ve just moved and taken the said ‘Castle of Courage’ out of storage – it needs a heck of a lot of courage to put it back together again with NO instructions – can you help in the reconstruction?
Further to the above – I must be a self confessed genius!!! Actually, not – I have managed to get it all together but ended up with two spare pieces – they are pentagon-ish shape and look like part of the walk way but I can@t find a way to attach them ……. no doubt I’ll have to take it apart and start again. Any ideas????
Hi Wendy, fortunately the elc website has the instructions in their help pages so you can download another set.
Just go to the help pages and type instuctions in the “our products section” and it will give you a whole host of instuctions for current and previous toys they have sold over the years. The castle of courage is available to download.

We have teh inxtructions, (the ones for this actaul castle are not on the site!). However following a riends child helpfully breaking the castle down we are trying tore-build and we are stuck already! the piece with the fire lanterns on, we belive shou face inwards but the picture on teh instructions show it as outside, can you help?
I have the same problem – tried to move the castle and it fell to pieces. I am now tring to reassemble, but it is hopeless without the instructions. Elc website claims to have them, but if you click on the link it’s for a completely different product. Help…

Please please please if any of you have the instructions could you please let me know and maybe send me a copy or email me a copy as the links do not work and I cannot find anywhrer on internet.
