New ‘Family Days Out’ site from Silver Cross
Silver Cross has just launched a new website www.silvercrossdaysout.co.uk – and is inviting all families with young children to visit it, comment on their experiences of days out and read other reviews.
The aim is to enable people to discover the very best venues, near to them, for a fun family day out. To help get the ball rolling, anyone posting a review will be entered into a prize draw to win five family memberships to both National Trust and English Heritage.
Silver Cross decided to build the Days Out website after several of their customers said that they were frustrated that recommendations on many existing websites were commercially motivated and often did not allow for reviews.
‘www.silvercrossdaysout.co.uk has been set up with reviews of 500 venues to get the site started,’ explains Alan Halsall, the Chairman of Silver Cross. ‘Silver Cross will not allow any advertising or sponsorship on the site as it has been built for the good of the community. It is up to everyone to take advantage of the reviews and also pass on their own experiences, good and bad, so others can benefit. In today’s difficult economic climate, Silver Cross wanted to help parents find new ideas for great ‘Days Out’ with the children – many of which are free. Please do get involved – the more everyone contributes, the better and more useful the site will become.’
