Blog Love – Bringing Up Charlie
Okay, okay, so the Blog Love has been a bit slack the last couple of weeks… sorry, sorry, sorry. But. Not only is it our busiest time of year (Christmas IS coming, y’know) but we have been working very extremely hard on some exciting new LittleStuff stuff. Which you’ll have to be patient for, as we’re not done yet.
Anyhoo, here we are – saw this and just knew it was my Blog Love post for this week.
Having raised three boys, I snorted gleefully at Charlies bin men excitement – three times I’ve done the weekly “Bin Men! Bi-i-in MEE-E-E-EN” dance, and twice I’ve been SO happy when the enthusiasm has waned (Toby, almost-7, still gets inordinately excited at the bin lorry. Happily he is big enough to not need to share the joy at 7 in the morning any more). How happy I was this week; upon my morning wake-up call from The Girl I stumbled in, flung wide the curtains, noted the lorry and automatically (in the manner we all shout ‘Tractor!’ even when we’re driving alone) exclaimed “Ooh, look! The Bin Men!”. Turned to greet a baffled “And?” shrug before being asked to carry all five toy dogs downstairs for beckbuss please.
Sometimes I am very happy that number four is a girl.
